Committee Reports

Treasurer’s Report:  The Treasurer’s Report was read by Dennis Redding (Karen Gouloff was not in attendance). The Treasurer’s Report was accepted by Jill Redding, and seconded by Amy Haycox.

John Magsam and Dennis Redding read the audit of the Treasurer’s Report, which was done in March.

Amy and Jeff Haycox reported about the Easter Egg Hunt, which was a great success, with more children and families coming out for the fun this year than in the past few years. The Easter Egg Hunt had an amazing turnout. The weather was nice, and Amy and Jeff decided to have the Easter Bunny attend. It was decided that next year we should stuff a lot more eggs than this year. Thank you so much Amy and Jeff for taking care of this event.

Jeff and Amy Haycox have kindly volunteered to be in charge of Dirt Day this year, which will take place on Saturday April 30th, from 8:30 AM until all the dirt is gone. Karen has volunteered to order the dirt. Thank you to Jeff and Amy.

Beverly Carney will call the newspaper and put an add in for our Glenwood Park Garage Sale, which will take place Thursday through Saturday, May 19th, 20th, and 21st. Thank you so much Beverly.

The great American Clean Up will take place Thursday April 28th. We asked volunteers to help with the cleanup along Coliseum.

Dumpster Day will be held Saturday April 23rd.

President’s Remarks

Dennis submitted to the City of Fort Wayne 3 jobs to possibly be completed in 2023.

To have the street lights painted from the 4000 to the 4700 block of Vance Avenue.

The curbs done on Vance from Coliseum to Reed Road.

New curbs on the north side of Fairlawn Pass.

Dennis received a letter from the city stating that Vance Avenue will be improved in 2023, so that’s very good news for our neighborhood.

We discussed the problem of delinquent dues, and steps that will be taken to correct this problem. With the letters the dues committee sent out last Fall we have brought the unpaid dues total down from 21,974 to 15,630.

The Dues Committee has met with an attorney for help with this problem, and before the third quarter board meeting the committee will work with the attorney on further action to be taken.

Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned with a motion from Amy Haycox, seconded by Jeff Haycox.
